Edward Lee: This is my story…

I have been blessed to write several Christian marriage books based on the marriages of the Bible but this is my first non-marriage book and I am excited to share it with you.

No need to sugar coat it, I wrote this book because my life stunk. A few “life events” popped up and I felt like I wasn’t going to make it through. In it all I kept this determination that it really is possible to lose much, hurt a lot and also come through the other side - whole. So over a 5 month period I poured out my heart and my pain to the Lord in a local coffee shop every morning with no more than a Bible and a laptop. The result was 377 Christ centered devotionals of which Everyday. Jesus. Volume One is the first 90 entries. Collectively these 3-5 minute daily devotionals encourage us to find level ground in life.

So now yes, I am a pastor, but as I often say “there is no such thing as a professional Christian”. Life really does not care about a 40+ year walk with the Lord or more than 20 years of full time ministry, life simply comes at us all. None of us get out of this life without our share of scrapes and bruises. In life’s tough moments all we have is faithful obedience in the Lord.

So then I share with you the passages and reflections the Lord has shared with me as He has led me through depths of hurt and challenge this past year. For truly life has been an Everyday. Jesus. journey.
